I consider myself very much a family man and have outside interests in music and singing.

I spent a wonderful few years in Edinburgh at University. I then moved down to potter about the South West hospitals before happily settling at Pembroke Road about seven years ago. I work part time and spend the remainder of the week with my children. This largely entails jumping in muddy puddles whenever possible.

Since then I have worked in Brighton and London before relocating to Bristol in 2013. I enjoy all aspects of family medicine. Outside of medicine I enjoy hiking and cycling on both roads and mountains. My wife is also a doctor and works as a cancer specialist.

Bristol born and bred, I spent some pleasant years in Southampton studying English Literature (and the music scene) before moving up to Manchester for medical training. I returned to the South West to complete my postgraduate training as a GP, and have settled back here happily with my wife and two young children.  In the world outside Pembroke Road, I enjoy music, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Tom Wright
BSc(Hons) MBChb MRCGP
Having enjoyed university so much the first time round, I decided to start medicine relatively late in life. After four great years at Warwick University I moved to Bristol in 2012 to start my junior doctor years. I completed my GP training in the Bath area before joining the team here at Pembroke Road. I enjoy all aspects of general practice.  I live in Bristol with my better half who is a hospital doctor locally. Outside of work I enjoy playing the guitar and camping, when the Great British weather allows.
